DANA Study is a seasoned advisor in the field of educational opportunities for Czech high school and university students abroad. DANA ČERNÁ – FOUNDER
In high school, I participated in educational stays in London and Heidelberg, Germany. Thanks to a scholarship granted by the governor of the Central Bohemian Region, I had the opportunity to participate in several internships in Mainz, Germany, where I worked at the local Chamber of Commerce and the tourist centre. I gained further work experience and enhanced my English skills as an au pair in Canada and the US, where I also studied at a local university. I completed my master’s degree in Switzerland at the University of Applied Sciences in Chur, where I applied and went through the admission process entirely on my own. Which country should I choose?
Individual countries differ greatly in culture, schooling possibilities, admission procedures, and financial requirements. We would be happy to meet with you and discuss everything to choose the best fit for you together.
How long are study stays?
A stay at a high school abroad usually lasts for one semester (5 months from September or January) or a full academic year (10 months). University students generally stay for a complete bachelor’s or master’s degree at foreign universities.
Where do students live?
Accommodation for high school students is usually provided in local host families, whereas university students live in student dormitories or residences operated by the university.
How much does it cost?
The price of the stay is dictated by the choice of destination, school, length of stay, transportation costs, etc. Therefore, we always prepare a tailor-made price calculation for each study stay. High school stays are generally cheaper because the education of high school students in foreign countries is supported, and the costs of accommodation and tuition are lower. We will gladly provide more information and estimate the price for a specific destination by email or in person.
In what language do students study?
Since we arrange stays at local schools, students complete courses in the language of the given country. We focus on culturally educational programs, and we firmly believe that students speaking the local language better get to know the culture of the given country.
